HTC One X9 Officially Launched In China; Specs Include 5.5-Inch Display, 13MP Camera, 3 GB of RAM

After weeks of leaks and rumors, fans of HTC smartphone devices can finally meet the new One X9. According to The Times of India, the Taiwan-based electronics manufacturer has launched the One X9 into the Chinese market through a post on the company's official Weibo account.

The device, which is an upgrade of the One A9 model, is expected go on sale soon with a price tag of 2,399 yuan or approximately $370. Customers who are interested in purchasing it must know that it's a mid-range phone, but according to Phandroid, it reads out more like a flagship handset.

With an all-metal body design, the HTC One X9 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD screen with 1080p display. Digital Trends detailed that under the hood, one can find a 64-bit octa-core 2.2GHz MediaTek X10 processor paired with 3 GB of RAM, an indication of how much the device will be able to offer an effective Android experience.

It also comes with a 32 GB of storage which can be expanded via the microSD card slot. An Android operating system is expected as well. However, it is not specified yet which version of Google's mobile OS will be pre-installed into the smartphone.

As for the camera specs, the mobile device features a 13-megapixel rear shooter with optical image stabilization and 4K video recording. On the front is a 5-megapixel front shooter with an UltraPixel sensor. Giving it power and life is a 3000 mAh battery pack and as reported, it should offer 15 hours of 3G phone calls, 10 hours of HD video, and 40 hours of music.

Aside from 3G, the device also comes with 2G, 4G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1, as well as microUSB. Early speculations predicted an inclusion of a fingerprint scanner. However, such feature is nowhere to be found.
