Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus Announced; Specs Include 5-Inch Display, 2 GB of RAM, 13MP Rear Camera

The successor to the 2014 Huawei Honor Holly has finally been unveiled as expected. According to Android Headlines, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer is on a phone launching spree and part of the 2016 list is the Honor Holly 2 Plus.

The device is actually an international variant of the Huawei Enjoy 5 which was released in China late last year. According to a report, it is expected to be available in India starting Feb. 16 via online retail platforms Amazon and Flipkart and it will be offered in three colors—black, gold and white. For those who are planning to purchase it, it will cost them Rs. 8,499 or $125 only.

As for the specs of the device, the Honor Holly 2 Plus is unveiled to sport a 5-inch HD IPS display with a pixel resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It will be equipped with a 64-bit MediaTek MT6735P SoC with quad-core CPU clocked at 1.3 GHz and Mali T720 GPU for graphics, as noted in GSM Arena. It will also have 2 GB of RAM and an internal memory storage of 16 GB. It can be expanded further up to 128 GB via a microSD card slot.

To keep the lights on, a whopping 4,000 mAh battery is incorporated. An Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system is also pre-installed with Honor's Emotion UI 3.1 customization skin on top. As for the camera specs, Gadget 360 detailed that the device carries a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, OmniVision BSI sensor and a 28mm wide-angle lens. On the front is 5-megapixel snapper.

Connectivity options available include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, GPS/A-GPS. The smartphone supports dual-SIM as well. The look of the back panel is a unique textured design and it has a polycarbonate body.

The Huawei Honor Holly Plus 2 is announced to come with a 15-month warranty in India and a one-month free screen replacement.
