'Jane The Virgin' Season 2 Cast News: 'Dancing With The Stars' Staple Joins The CW Show
Things are definitely getting more exciting as the second season of The CW's hit family comedy drama TV series "Jane The Virgin" continues with the newest name that will be appearing in an up and coming episode.
According to the casting news from Entertainment Weekly, "Dancing With the Stars" pro-dancer Derek Hough will be coming over to the Gina Rodriguez-starrer series to share the dance floor with the titular character. As revealed by the media outlet, the reality TV personality will appear as Jane's "lover in one of the show's hallmark fantasy sequences."
In her Instagram account, Rodriguez shared a behind the scene photo of her and Hough all dressed up in what is supposed to be their respective characters in the said episode.
Taking hints from the image, it looks like the two will hit some salsa number on the dance floor. EW added that the 31-year-old actress is a trained salsa dancer which means viewers should expect some outstanding performance from the two.
For the meantime, "Jane The Virgin" Season 2 will return this Monday for "Chapter Thirty-Eight." The spoiler report from The Futon Critic said that Jane and Michael (Brett Dier) will be forced to set aside their wedding plans when Jane's home got ravaged by a flood.
Following the disaster, Jane will decide to host a small and simple ceremony, but Rogelio (Jaime Camil) will insist that the event should be extravagant as he plans to invite all his friends in the show business including an affluent TV star.
Jane and Michael are also considering moving out from the Villanueva residence, which won't sit well with Rafael (Justin Baldoni) as he finds their new home much farther away than the usual and this would take him more time to see his son, Mateo.
It is yet to be announced as to which episode Hough will appear in.
"Jane The Virgin" Season 2 airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on The CW.
