Jennifer Lawrence News: Actress Talks Feminism and Being a 'Bummer'
At the top of her career and busy for the coming of "X-Men: Apocalypse," Jennifer Lawrence took some time off set to discuss her stand on feminism and her "bummer" life that she believes is one of the characteristics of being a social disappointment.
Talking to Harper's Bazaar for its May issue, the award-winning actress explained what feminism means to her. "I don't know why that word is so scary to people; it shouldn't be because it means equality," she said, adding that a woman who feels stronger in the society also moves forward.
For the "Hunger Games" star, the world doesn't need to take away good things and traits such as sensitivity and empathy from a woman as these keep women from making the wrong decisions and mistakes in life.

When asked about the ways she becomes a social disappointment, considering that a lot of people want to be friends with her, she said, "I'm kind of a bummer." Despite her looks and her lively attitude in the red carpet, it turns out that she isn't the kind of Hollywood star who stays out late.
Friends find it difficult to convince her to go out and when she finally gets out of her cave, she prefers to go home earlier. The reason behind is simple. If she ends up partying too hard, she pukes.
To confirm her puking ceremonies whenever she stays out too late partying, she said her closest friends should be asked. At one point, her good pal Emma Stone came to her rescue after the latter went out with her in Los Angeles to see Adele. When she started puking, Stone was there rubbing her back.
J.Law went on to talk about her difficulties in the past regarding making friends. Despite her struggles in balancing friendship with her stardom, she now makes friends easily. "There were a few years where I had to get used to everything, but now I am. I don't have to be wary of people; it's fine," she explained.
Lawrence is starring in the upcoming superhero film "X-Men Apocalypse" along with Oscar Isaac, Michael Fassbender, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, and Oliva Munn among others. The film is slated for release on May 27, 2016.
