'Jessica Jones' Season 2 Cast News: Series Star Rachael Taylor Looks Forward To Becoming Marvel's Hellcat

One of the many aspects highlighted in the recently released Netflix superhero drama TV series "Jessica Jones" Season 1 was the strong bond of friendship between the titular character (played by Krysten Ritter) and her childhood friend, Trish Walker.

Played by actress Rachael Taylor, the rather interesting character has long been known by Marvel comic fans as Hellcat. Trish, who was once a child star named Patsy Walker, wasn't featured as her superhero alter-ego in the original season. The hints, however, are quite clear that the popular radio personality is more than eager to fight crime in her town alongside her adoptive sister.

Taylor, on her part, revealed that she's ready to don the ability-enhancing yellow jumpsuit that makes Trish even more effective in taking down the baddies.

"I try not to get ahead of myself and think about it too much, because it's easy to get carried away and think about things," Taylor told Comic Book Resources in an interview.

"…of course, I mean, it would be amazing. … To take it that one step further is something that, yeah, I'd love to get my teeth stuck into whatever happens to the character," she went on to tell CBR.

Further discussing about the relationship between the anti-hero and her character, Taylor somehow suspects that Trish is somewhat jealous for what Jessica has.

"I think for Trish, part of her shadow personality is that there's a certain covetous part of her. I think she covets some of the things that Jessica has. I think there is an unholy ambition that sits just under the surface," she revealed to the media outlet.

Of course, Trish's jealousy stems from her desire to make the world a better place to live in. If only she had Jessica's super-strength abilities, she would probably do a lot more with them.

Trish, on her part, is a force to be reckoned with as well. Despite her lack of mutant superpowers, she is, however, quite more than adept in the art of krav maga as shown in the series.

The key characters from "Jessica Jones," "Daredevil," "Luke Cage," and the yet-to-be-announced "Iron Fist" are slated to assemble in an upcoming miniseries from Netflix called "The Defenders."
