Joey Feek in Tears After Possible Final Meeting With Bestfriend

It was a sad time for country singer Joey Feek, who had to say goodbye to her best friend, Julie Zamboldi.

As Feek approached the last leg of her battle with cancer, bidding her best friend farewell proved to be a difficult task. It was reported that Feek was devastated after realizing that that could be the last time she would be seeing Zamboldi.

Feek's husband Rory shared some details about Feek's state after Zamboldi's visit. According to Daily Mail UK, he stated, "I put my arms around her and asked what was wrong. As her lips quivered and she tried to catch her breath, the tears streamed down her cheeks and Joey said, 'I don't think I will ever see her again."

The two had known each other for eight years and became close over time. When Feek was diagnosed with stage IV cervical cancer two years ago, she then began seeking chemotherapy. In order to support her, Zamboldi decided to shave her hair as well.

Throughout Feek's battle, it was reported that Zamboldi had taken on responsibility to help the couple. Rory stated, "She cooks, she cleans, changes the baby's diaper, and does any and everything else that she can find to do that needs to be done while we're living here out of suitcases… not waiting for someone we love to die. But helping the woman we all love to live."

It was reported that Joey's cancer had return last Oct., which was when they found out that the cancer had already spread to her colon. The doctors then told Feek that she only had six more weeks to live. However, Feek was determined to make it through the holidays in order to spend quality time with her family. Rory had shared some photos during the holidays that proved how Feek was able to accomplish her goal.
