'Jurassic World 2' Spoilers: Sequel Expected To Introduce More Dinosaurs

The upcoming sequel of the successful film "Jurassic World" is expected to introduce more dinosaurs.

The previously released "Jurassic World" delighted many fans with the reintroduction of the "Jurassic" franchise. With that, fans have high expectations about what "Jurassic World 2" will hold for the franchise.

There are speculations that the upcoming film will take place in Costa Rica, since that is where Dr. Henry Wu, played by B.D. Wong, was escaping to with his dinosaur embryos. Because of that, the plot could be centered on new types of dinosaurs that he will be breeding.

However, the actor himself hinted at the possibility that other people besides him are also working on other types of dinosaurs. With that, the plot could expand the perspective and shed some light on other organizations toying with manufacturing dinosaurs.

While those details have yet to be confirmed, the director of the previous film, Colin Trevorrow shared some hints on the inspiration for "Jurassic World 2." He referred to a line that paleontologist Alan Grant, played by Sam Neill, said from the original film. Trevorrow stated on a podcast for Jurassic Cast, "Dinosaurs and man, separated by 65 million years of evolution, have been thrown back into the mix together. How can we know what to expect?"

He expressed that "Jurassic World 2" will have a different vibe compared to the one released last year. He also said, "I don't necessarily mean in scale. I feel very strongly that it's not about more dinosaurs or bigger and better dinosaurs. It's about using this as a starting point for a much larger story about our relationship with these animals, and with animals, in general, and the dynamic created by bringing them back to life."

It was also confirmed that Owen Drady, played by Chris Pratt, and Claire Dearing, played by Bryce Dallas Howard, will continue as the main characters of the upcoming film. "Jurassic World 2" is expected to release in theaters by June 22, 2018.
