Kim Kardashian New Name Added to Social Media Sites: Kim Kardashian West

Kim Kardashian stayed in line with the tradition of assuming her husband's last name after her May 24 wedding to Kanye West.

Shortly after the highly anticipated wedding, Kardashian changed her Twitter and Instagram accounts to the name Kim Kardashian West. The 33-year-old reality television star wed rapper West in Florence, Italy during an extravagant ceremony before friends and family. In addition to updating her name on Twitter and Instagram, Kardashian updated fans on her past week spent in Paris.

"Last week was so busy and fun prepping in Paris," she wrote along with a photo. "I'm wearing a dress by Ermanno Scervino, Celine coat, and Giuseppe Zanotti heels. Xo"

Meanwhile, it comes as no surprise that the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star opted for the last name West. Following her engagement, Kim said she planned on changing her name to match her husband and daughter.

"It'll be Kim Kardashian West," she told E! News. "Not hyphened. Maybe make [Kardashian] like, the middle name."

Kardashian and West, who have been together for two years, are parents to 11-month-old North. Today, the newlyweds are enjoying a honeymoon in the Ballyhoura Mountains, which are located southeast of Ireland's County Limerick and northeast of County Cork in central Munster. One onlooker noticed the couple and four others enjoying a mountain bike ride on Tuesday, May 27.

"They were in awe of how clean and natural the mountains are," Fergal Somers told ABC News of the honeymooners before noting a special love "aura" between the pair.

"There was certainly a je ne sais quoi about them," he said.

Baby North is staying with her grandmother, Kris Jenner, during her parents' honeymoon, according to Us Weekly. The Irish honeymoon followed the couple's wedding celebrations that began in Paris last week and concluded in Florence.
