Krispy Kreme Adds 2 Coffee-Flavored Doughnuts: Mocha Kreme and Caramel Coffee
Krispy Kreme fans are celebrating the addition of two brand new flavors of their favorite doughnut brand this week.
The famed doughnut makers have added a coffee flavor to their menu in two different forms. Krispy Kreme Mocha Kreme and Caramel Coffee Kreme doughnuts are now available at all participating U.S. and Canadian locations now through March 30.
For a limited time only, customers can enjoy the Mocha Kreme doughnut- a "moist yeast doughnut filled with a tasty blend of chocolate and coffee flavors, topped with mocha icing, a milk chocolate swirl and decorated with milk chocolate icing," according to a press release from Krispy Kreme via BusinessWire.
Alternately, the Caramel Coffee Kreme Doughnut offers "a decadent glazed treat topped with smooth caramel and coffee flavored icing, a mocha drizzle and dollop of coffee Kreme."
In light of the new flavors, Krispy Kreme fans are taking to Twitter with their excitement.
"This just in! Krispy Kreme announces 2 new flavors, feast your eyes," AJ wrote.
David added, "sweet mercy," while Corinne posted, "Willing to pay a lot of money for Krispy Kreme donuts right now."
"Krispy Kreme has a coffee flavored doughnut, someone has been reading my diary," Hannah added.
"If y'all are fortunate enough to have Krispy Kreme nearby, go get yourself a Carmel Kreme doughnut," Tanner advised.
In addition to the new coffee flavored doughnuts, Krispy Kreme has added introduced a new coffee beverage, the Cinnamon Dolce latte. However, the bakery has famously battled other chains when it comes to beverage sales. The chain's signature Original Glazed doughnut remains its top-selling item, internationally recognized and beloved by many.
Meanwhile, Krispy Kreme is an annual supporter of National Doughnut Day, which is celebrated on the first Friday in June each year. The Winton-Salem, N.C.-based chain doles out free doughnuts, one per customer with no purchase necessary, on the holiday.
