Just days after stating that she would be forced to postpone shows in three states, Live Nation has announced that Lady Gaga, who is suffering from a hip injury, has canceled her "Born This Way Ball."

The singer has been suffering from severe pains in her leg caused by an onstage injury. She was unaware how serious the condition was until this week, when she was informed that she would have to get surgery in order to resolve the problem.

The pop star announced with deep regret and sorrow on Tuesday that she would be unable to perform concerts scheduled in Chicago, Detroit, and Hamilton due to a case of synovitis which causes "severe inflammation in the joints."

Gaga declared that she had been injured and been hiding it for some time, hoping that prayers would help her heal before the next concert. She said she hid it from staff because she was so disappointed, but things have progressed to the point that she can no longer walk.

"I've been hiding a show injury and chronic pain for sometime now, over the past month it has worsened. I've been praying it would heal," she wrote. "I hid it from my staff, I didn't want to disappoint my amazing fans. However after last nights performance I could not walk and still can't."

The "Born This Way" singer then pleaded with her fans for forgiveness appearing genuinely disappointed that she would be letting so many people that she loved down.

But on Thursday news got worse as it was revealed that Gaga would have to cancel all of the rest of her 25 U.S. shows.

"After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip," Live Nation said in a statement.

"She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict downtime to recover. This, unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour so she can heal," it added.

"I hate this so much. I love you and Im sorry," Gaga wrote on Twitter.
