Lamar Odom Health Update: Khloé Kardashian Says 'He's Doing Really Well'

Following his hospitalization due to drug overdose, Lamar Odom is slowly rising from the ruins, and according to his ex beau, the former basketball star is recovering well.

According to E! News, Khloé Kardashian gave "Good Morning America" some details about Odom's health. "He's doing really well. He's finally out of the hospital. He's doing great," she said.

For the most part, Kardashian has been by her ex-husband's side ever since he was found unconscious in a brothel and was with him and his children as he struggled to get out of his coma. It seems that Odom is doing better than before, and while previous rumors suggested that he will probably be under a long journey of medication, Kardashian is in high hopes for her former flame.

Kardashian told the show that she is sincerely hoping for the former Los Angeles Lakers star to get well and become healthy and happy again. She admitted to referring to Odom as her "soul mate," but now, she noted, she's being more of a friend who will be around him until he gets fully recovered.

In December, it was reported that Odom had started walking without the help of a walker, and ever since he left Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, he has slowly improved out of the public's eye.

It was rumored earlier that Kardashian has been helping cover the medical bills that Odom accumulated while staying at the hospital, and while the two have announced their divorce, the documents are still at work, making the reality stars still legally connected to each other.

Meanwhile, Kardashian said she has put the past behind her and she is just looking forward to the positive things that life will offer not just for her but for her ex as well. "As long as he's willing to fight it and constantly better himself, then that's all I could ask for," she said.
