Lava X3 Launched In India; Specs Include 5-Inch Display, 8MP Camera, 2 GB of RAM
Indian mobile handset company Lava has launched a new device under its 'X' series and it's called the X3. According to Gadgets 360, the smartphone is now available for sale in India at various online retail websites such as Flipkart and Amazon. Those who are interested with getting one will need to shell out Rs. 6,499. They can also choose from the available color variants which include Gold, Silver and White.
As for the specs of the device, Mobipicker detailed that the budget handset features a 5-inch HD screen with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. It's also noted in GSM Arena that it will be topped with Corning Gorilla Glass for protection.
It is equipped under the hood with a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor which is still not specified. And even as a budget smartphone, the device comes with 2GB of DDR3 RAM. The internal memory storage is 8 GB and can be expanded further via microSD card, although it's still unknown what the maximum capacity will be.

For photo-taking purposes, the device flaunts an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash. On the front is a 5-megapixel camera. Some of the features that are incorporated into the handset are face detection, face beauty, motion tracking, live photo and panorama.
The device measures 72mm x 144mm x 8.45mm and weighs 141 grams. It is powered by a Li-Ion removable 2,500 mAh battery which is claimed to last up to 182 hours on stand-by mode and 11 hours and 30 minutes on talk time. It is pre-installed with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system.
The Times of India also detailed that the Lava X3 has a dual-SIM functionality and comes with the basic connectivity options including 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0, Micro-USB and GPS. However, the device does not come with 4G which may be a disappointment because even though it's a budget smartphone, there are already a lot of existing cheap devices with 4G connectivity.
