'Law & Order: SVU' Season 16 Spoilers, Benson in Dilemma Over Motherhood and Job
"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" or abbreviated to Law & Order: SVU, is an American police procedural crime drama television series set in New York City. The series is a spin-off of the successful crime drama television series "Law & Order."
With the original "Law & Order" cancelled in 2010, "Law & Order: SVU" is currently the longest running scripted non-animated U.S. primetime television series. The series aired its 16th season on Sept. 24 earlier this year and is already on its fourth episode, which aired yesterday Oct. 8.
Soon, the series will cross over with Jesse Specner's "Chicago Fire" and with Sophia Bush's "Chicago P.D."
Yesterday's episode meanwhile ripped stories straight from the lives of Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes. The title of the episode is "Producer's Backend."

"A starlet tries to use her charms to get out of an arrest, but Amaro proves unflappable, earning him a spot back on the SVU squad. The same starlet is later charged with statutory rape, prompting a curious Benson to investigate the actress's own past," the synopsis reads.
The episode is troubling but the next one might just move one step above that. The episode is to be titled "Holden's Manifesto" and will feature difficulties for Benson who ponders on whether she can balance between being a mother and doing her job.
"New York City bike messenger Holden March (guest star John Karna) creates a video diary of his troubles with women. Talk soon escalates to action, and the SVU scrambles to find his manifesto before he commits another violent act. When Rollins and Anaro come face to face with Holden, they find out just how dangerous a desperate man can be," the episode's synopsis reads.
