'Law & Order: SVU' Season 17 News: Cast Member Amber Sky Shares On-Set Photos With Co-Stars
It looks like it's not only the fans who are excited for the return of NBC's hit police-procedural drama TV series "Law & Order: SVU" for the second half of its 17th season.
This weekend, the show's guest star Amber Skye shared some behind-the-scene photos of her and some of the cast members of the long-running detective show. The actress, who has also played parts in "One Life to Live" and "Beauty and the Beast," opted to share the pictures on her social media.
In one of her updates, she can be seen grinning with cast member Ice T, who plays Detective Fin Tutuola in the show.
In the caption for her Facebook post, the red-head artist revealed that the episode she'd been working on in "Law & Order" will premiere on Wednesday, Jan. 13.
"We smiling but we ain't playin," her caption reads.
The New York City-based alternative pop singer went on to share on Dec. 8, a photo of her and lead star, Mariska Hargitay, giggling on set. In her Facebook status, she praised the actress who played Sergeant Olivia Benson as the "real deal" and the "coolest chick in the game."
"She's been so supportive of me as an actor and my music and for that I'm so grateful," she went on to say about the 51-year-old.
Meanwhile, a report from TVLine said that when the show returns next year, the SVU team will be tackling a very sensitive issue involving teenagers. Further details about the segment are yet to be revealed. What's known, however, is that it would touch on the topics of date rapes. This particular episode tells of a "date rape at a high school."
Getting more hints from this clue, it would be safe to assume that the parties involved are somehow romantically linked. It can also be deduced that the episode will look into the use of drugs by the suspects to inhibit the senses of their victims.
Find out how these things unfold when "Law and Order: SVU" Season 17 returns 2016.
