Gaming fans are in for an exciting week as leaked photos of the new Microsoft Xbox One Slim were leaked, featuring a small case with large, high-end features.
Microsoft's Big Reveal
With the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) ongoing this week, fans are waiting to hear about what Microsoft has in store. There were photos recently leaked showing the newest model of Xbox One. The photos showed Xbox One Slim, which is 40 percent smaller that the current Xbox One model. Meanwhile, the new model will also be boasting high-end aesthetics as well as a 2TB hard drive. Gamers can also expect improved graphics that can support 4K Ultra HD videos.
Small Body With Big Features
Gamers has well-received the new design of Xbox One Slim as it sports an upright storage that will revolutionize gaming consoles. Xbox Chief Phil Spencer explained that the new Xbox will bring a lot of changes to the gaming industry.
"Consumer expectation is that, if you wanted to, you could go buy a new cell phone every year. I don't want to get into that mode with a console. I see the next inflection point as 4K, and I want to make sure we have a console there to support that, and Scorpio will do that," he said. "We're not on a hardware tick-tock that says I need to put out a console every two years or every one year to get people to upgrade. That's not the console model."
He explained that Microsoft has been working hard to bring the new technology to gamers and is hoping that the new model will appeal to this generation of gamers.
"Consoles created generations that effectively take your library back to zero; we're trying to think beyond generations and say, how do you bring all the content that you purchased and love from this generation and move it forward with you?" Spencer said.
Xbox has sought the VR developers in order to bring new features to the game console. Spencer ensures that they will deliver high-end capabilities and hardware specifications that will fit today's gaming needs.
