Leaked 'Planet Of The Apes' Game Pulled Down By Sony
After being unexpectedly "launched" last week, Sony has finally pulled down "Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier" from the PlayStation Network. The tie-in for the Andy Serkis-helmed film trilogy was scheduled to be released later this year although no concrete schedule was ever announced.
So when the game finally appeared on the PSN, many shoppers were convinced that the game was finally released, that until Sony pulled it down. Nevertheless, the standalone cinematic adventure game was available to purchase for $29.99 for a limited time allowing some eagle-eyed buyers to snatch it up for themselves.
Player input in the game is entirely choice-based based on conversations and actions as they take control of both humans and apes in the cinematic story. Because of the standalone 2-3 hour story and cast, characters can live or die based on the player's decisions, featuring multiple endings possible depending on the actions of both the humans and the apes.

Described as an adventure title in the style of "Telltale," "Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier" takes place between the second and third films of the trilogy and reportedly lasts several hours. The PS4 release also has its own PlayLink app, allowing friends of a player to use their phones to help sway the direction of the game.
Given that the game was "released" for a limited time, it's probably safe to say that more than a few playthroughs will make their way to Youtube and Twitch in the near future. Sadly though, it might take a while for fans to enjoy the game as Imaginati Studio has not revealed a release date, even after the leak.
However according to Imaginati CEO, Martin Alltimes, "Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier" is expected to be available this fall for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows as a digital-only title.
