Legend of Zelda Hyrule Warriors Release Date, Gameplay: Upcoming Title Offers Multiplayer Help on GamePad Controller
The Legend of Zelda Hyrule Warriors is coming out in Japan this summer and it was just revealed it will be a two-player game.
Famitsu reported that franchise regular, Impa, will be the second player aside from main character Link. The second player will be able to play off the Wii U GamePad.
Polygon reported there will be appearances from a few other characters as well, and different weapons within the game will yield different results. There will be character progression and weapon upgrades as well.

Hyrule Warriors was just recently announced for an Aug. 14 release date on the Wii U in Japan.
According to Famitsu, it will have the title of Zelda Musou, and no U.S. release date has been named yet.
Announced on a PDF by Tecmo Koei gaming company, the game draws inspiration from Dynasty Warriors. The game was revealed in December during a Nintendo Direct conference by Satoru Iwata.
Hyrule Warriors will have similar gameplay to Dynasty Warriors and be sort of an open world mass fighting game with non-stop action. Main character Link will take on hordes of enemies instead of his usual puzzle, strategy, and caefully calculated fight type games.
Important to note is that the game will follow none of the storylines of the previous Legend of Zelda games and is an original quest on its own.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, is the last installment for the popular franchise and was released for the 3DS. It is the more than 20-year sequel to A Link to the Past, and has a lot similarities between the two.
A Link Between Worlds was released on Nov. 22 for the Nintendo 3DS and 2DS and featured many new gameplay modes within the game that will make this entry into the series' standout. The game is available for $39.99.
