'Legends Of Tomorrow' Spoilers: Finale Details Revealed; Series Executive Marc Guggenheim Teases More DC Characters for Season 2
The first season of CW's hit superhero mash-up drama TV series "Legends of Tomorrow" may have its lows and highs, but one thing is for sure though, the show is going to end on a high note as evident in both the synopsis and teasers of the finale aptly called "Legendary." Meanwhile, fans better brace themselves as more of their favorite DC characters are coming over for Season 2.
First off, the network released a brand new extended trailer for this week's Season 1 Finale and it offers glimpse of a big showdown between the Legends and Vandal Savage, who is quite incessant in his mission to own the whole world.
As if that issue wouldn't be enough to preoccupy the time-travelling superheroes, the video also talked about the pressing matter concerning the imminent impact of three gigantic meteors in three different time periods.
Check out the epic and suspenseful trailer below:
Will their mission against Savage pull off this time? For much of the season, their attempts to take down the latter often failed.
Meanwhile, The Futon Critic posted the full synopsis of the season-ender. As indicated, Rip Hunter will decide to send off the heroes back to where they first started since it already looks like the cause has been lost. They will return to Central City a few months have passed after they left to board the Waverider. However, each of the members will realize how important their part is in keeping the world as it is and far from grim future where Savage is the ruler. In another development, Sara will hear the sad news about her sister from her father. Followers may know that this could be about the death of the Black Canary.
In related news, Comic Book shared a snippet of their interview with executive producer Marc Guggenheim who seems to tease on who among the DC favorites will appear in season 2.
In the interview, he mentioned the inclusion of Jonah Hex among the many.
"…we were talking last night about doing another episode with him already," the EP said referring to the actor Jonahtan Schaech.
"I will say that you'll see even more DC characters in Season Two. By a large margin," Guggenheim went on to say.
"Legends of Tomorrow" Season finale premieres this Thursday, May 19 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
