Lenovo K3 vs Xiaomi Redmi: Lenovo Releases Lemon Smartphone To Compete With Xiaomi's Redmi

Lenovo released a brand new budget smartphone, the Lenovo K3 music Lemon, on Friday in China in a bid to compete against Xiaomi's Redmi 1S.

The Lenovo K3 was put up for sale exclusively on JD, one of China's largest online retailers, for a price of only CNY599 or around $97. There has been no announcements as of yet on whether the Lenovo K3 will be available worldwide or exclusively in China. Though there is a chance Lenovo could expand sales of the Lenovo K3 to the foreign market if it plans to compete with Xiaomi.

The Lenovo K3 is being looked upon as a direct competition to Xiaomi's budget phone, the Redmi S1, especially as JD also happens to be selling Xiaomi products.
