Android Authority reported that the handset is shatterproof because of the special tech known as the Moto Shatter Shield technology. It comes with five layers including a rigid aluminum core, an AMOLED flexible display, interior and exterior lens and a Dual Touch layer, which is said to maintain touchscreen performance in case the primary touch-sensitive layer is damaged.

Aside from the impressive screen feature, the Moto X Force sports a 5.4-inch QHD display with 1440 x 2560p resolution. It is powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC paired with 3 GB of RAM. And as mentioned earlier, it will have an internal memory space of 32 GB or 64 GB. A microSD card slot is available for expansion up to 2 TB, as noted in The Times of India.

The smartphone will run with Android 5.1 Lollipop but it will have an operating system upgrade and will receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow eventually. As for the camera specs, the device is equipped with a 21-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and Sony's IMX230 image sensor and a 5-megapixel front snapper for selfies and video calls. It gets its life and power from its 3,760 mAh battery and offers the basic connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, 4G, LTE, 3G and GPS. It also has NFC.
