LeTV Le Max Pro Revealed As First Smartphone With Snapdragon 820, Device Priced at $535
The processor from Qualcomm that everyone has been waiting for is finally here and it's inside the latest device from Chinese media company LeTV. According to Ubergizmo, Qualcomm CEO Steven Mollenkopf announced during the CES 2016 Qualcomm press conference that the Snapdragon 820 chipset was going to be first used in the smartphone Le Max Pro.
"Letv has already established itself as one of the world's top innovators and our decision to include the Snapdragon 820 processor in these new devices demonstrates our commitment to creating and delivering the best technology available to our customers," chief operating officer Jun Liang said, according to Indian Express.
CNET noted that Qualcomm says that their newest chipset is actually 40 percent more power efficient and 40 percent better when it comes to performance compared to its predecessor, the Snapdragon 810. This makes the Le Max Pro a device that's really worth checking out.

As for the hardware specs, Christian Today detailed that the device comes with a massive 6.33-inch full HD display. It has a pixel resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a pixel density of 464 pixels per inch. Under the hood, the chipset is clocked at 2.2 GHz power paired with Adreno 530 GPU and 4 GB of RAM.
Interested buyers can choose between 32 GB, 64 GB, or 128 GB internal memory storage options. IansLive reported that device also comes with the Snapdragon Sense ID fingerprint technology, which is the "mobile industry's first comprehensive ultrasonic-based fingerprint biometric solution."
The device also carries a 21-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization and 2 ultrapixels for the front camera. Moreover, Le Max Pro runs with Android 6.0 with LeTV's EUI on top. A 3,400 mAh battery capacity is also found and it can recharge quickly with the Quick Charge 2.0 from Qualcomm.
There's no information yet on when the device will go on sale but GSM Arena reported that it will have a price tag of RMB 3,500 or around $535.
