LG Nexus 5 (2015) Release Date, Specs Rumors: Leaked Renders Show 'Different' Rear Fingerprint Scanner (VIDEO)
Leaked images and a video showing what is believed to be the LG Nexus 5 (2015) feature a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Well-known tech leakster @OnLeaks, together with leading price comparison site, uSwitch, recently posted renders of the LG Nexus 5 that shows a fingerprint scanner situated on the rear end of the phone.
Allegedly based on information provided by the mobile phone's accessory manufacturers, as well as leaked factory schematics, a video has also been released showing the phone from different angles.

South Korean tech giant, LG had earlier inked a 10-year global patent license contract with Google late last year for cross licensing a range of mobile devices, including smartphones and tablet computers.
While both Google and LG have yet to officially confirm the existence of the Nexus 5 (2015), the handset is rumored to sport a 5.2-inch display, a set of dual speakers in front, and a fingerprint scanner at the rear of the phone just below the main camera.
Based on the blueprint and the render showing the shape of the device's USB cutout, the phone will have a USB Type C port at the bottom, measure 146.9mm x 72.9mm x 8mm, and be equipped with a protruding camera, which is expected to increase the handset's thickness.
The phone appears to have an all-metal body, while reports have also surfaced claiming it will have a metal frame but a plastic body, Tech Times writes.
The leaked renders and video showing the phone's design based on what appear to be its factory schematics, may or may not end up not depicting the correct representation of the LG Nexus 5 (2015).
Google Nexus devices have traditionally been unveiled in late October each year, and assuming Google is planning to conform to the same schedule, the LG Nexus 5 (2015) will be launched in two months, giving users the first official look at the handset.
