'Limitless' Season 1 Spoilers: Agent Casey Rooks, Cohorts Ignite Internal Investigation Following NZT Pills Theft
After a lengthy holiday break, CBS' hit police procedural drama TV series "Limitless" Season 1 is finally back to air its last episode for this year.
Titled "This Is Your Brian On Drugs," the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic said that trouble is coming for Agent Casey Rooks (Desmond Harrington) and his SWAT team after they are suspected of illegally acquiring 80 NZT pills which they reportedly took from recovered stolen inventory. The incident will prompt the FBI to conduct an internal investigation which will once again call on the expertise of their consultant, Brian Finch (Jake McDorman).
What exactly will Rooks and his cohorts do with the brain-enhancing pills? Will they be taking it for themselves or, as it has been feared, will the pills be manufactured for outside use? Is there someone from the higher echelons who are ordering Rooks to get the said pills?
For Brian's part, it appears that he has once again gotten himself into a mess when he finally tells his dad, Dennis Finch (Ron Rifkin), the truth about his work and, most of all, about the NZT. According to the spoiler report from the International Business Times, the midseason finale might find Brian dealing with his father's actions and getting everyone close to him safe and alive.
If fans may remember, Dennis decided to take matters into his own hands and is now getting ready for a legal battle with the agency. Not only will Finch get into trouble with his bosses but also with the mysterious Senator Morra (Bradley Cooper). The latter already told the show's protagonist never to tell anyone about the drug and their working arrangement. If he does break the promise, Morra warned that he'd let Brian experience an unimaginable kind of pain. In exchange, the Senator gave Finch a shot that would inhibit the painful side effects of the drugs.
Find out how things unfold when "Limitless" Season 1 winter finale airs this Tuesday, Dec. 15 on CBS.
