Live Images of BlackBerry Venice with 18MP Main Camera Leak Online

Live images of what is believed to be the BlackBerry Venice have emerged online, showing the smartphone's 18MP rear camera.

Taiwanese tech website Tinhte.vn has published photos of the alleged BlackBerry Venice, with its 18MP main camera and sliding QWERTY keyboard.

Following previously leaked images of the Android-powered smartphone that emerged in mid-August, courtesy of popular Twitter leakster @evleaks, Evan Blass, the live photos confirmed the handset's large touchscreen supporting the physical keyboard setup on a slider, with the phone's speaker grille located beneath it.

The smartphone's display, set to its home screen, depicts regular icons, including Contacts, Mail, Calendar, the Google PlayStore app, Google Search, the device's dialer, Messenger, Chrome, Gmail, and WhatsApp.

The panel at the top of the phone shows the MicroSD slot on the right and the SIM slot opposite it, while the left side panel houses the power button and volume rocker. The rear portion of the handset is covered in a textured pattern where its 18MP camera with OIS and dual-LED flash rest.

Based on a report by PhoneArena, the BlackBerry Venice features a 1440 x 2560 pixel QHD curved glass display over a 1.8GHz 64-bit hexa-core Snapdragon 808 C chipset and 3GB of RAM.

Apart from its physical slider QWERTY keyboard, the phone will reportedly have a touchscreen keyboard, as well.

While it will be powered by Android, BlackBerry Hub will also be installed in the smartphone. There has been no confirmed account of the handset's battery, but reports indicate it will run on a non-removable 3,000mAH.

The BlackBerry Venice, which will be sporting a 5MP front camera, will reportedly be available at major US carriers, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint beginning November this year.

Whether the device will make its debut together with the rumored Android Lollipop-powered BlackBerry Passport Silver Edition is still up to speculation.
