'Long Island Medium' Theresa Caputo has 'Forgotten Human Side' of Psychic Readings, Fellow Psychic Says

The "Long Island Medium" Theresa Caputo is accused of performing fake readings and potentially scoping out clients before meeting with them for readings. However, she maintains that she is gifted and denies any claims of fraud. A fellow psychic recently said that if it is proven that Caputo is performing fake readings, it could be a criminal situation.

"If that's happening at all, that is bordering on criminal," past life reader Laura Lyn told "The Outer Limits of Inner Truth" radio show, reported Radar Online. "If there is any research that is happening prior to an event such as a gallery style or a performance in a large audience that would hurt not only her credibility but also all mediums' credibility and all psychics' credibility."

Former clients have stated that Caputo was not accurate in her readings and had assistants prod them for information before public meetings. Fans were left disappointed and disheartened, hoping to connect with lost loved ones. Caputo has denied any allegations of wrong-doing and is continuing on with her tour and TV show.

Lyn said that she has faith in Caputo's ability and does not doubt that Caputo will be cleared of any allegations of wrong-doing.

"I 100 percent do not believe that is happening," Lyn said. "The reason I do not believe that is happening is her reputation to this point has been pretty darn good I would say."

A fellow caller, however, disagreed with Lyn and said that Caputo is way too caught up in the commercialism that comes with fame.

"She's caught up into this as well," psychic Lisa Caza said. "She's forgotten where she's come from and she's forgotten her human side – that's the ego she's got caught up into."

Psychic Kerrie O'Connor agreed more with Caza and noted that Caputo seems to know "what the public wants and is pumped up from it. Part of her knows consciously that she is pushing the envelope with not being totally ethical with it. Especially if she has to save face."
