Mark Cuban Fined for Twitter Remarks: 'I Need Help' Says Maverick's Owner
Dallas Maverick's owner Mark Cuban will be fined $50,000 after making critical remarks of referees on Twitter.
A league spokesperson confirmed that the Maverick's owner would be fined after a frustrating game during which he threw his hands up and began to side with the crowd. Following the game, Cuban posted on his Twitter account that league officials were flawed and reached out to fans for help.
"I'm sorry NBA fans," Cuban wrote Saturday, on his Twitter account. "I've tried for 13 years to fix the officiating in this league and I have failed miserably. Any suggestions? I need help."

On Saturday the Mavericks lost to New Orleans in overtime; it was the teams 10th consecutive overtime loss. When Maverick's coach Rick Carlisle was asked about hitting rock bottom, he agreed that the team had reached a low point.
"It feels like it. Yeah, it feels like it. I still believe in the team and I like the guys," Carlisle told the Tribune. "This is just a tough time and it's important that everybody sticks together and we've got to fight through it."
But few were supportive of Cuban on Twitter despite his record of success since purchasing a majority of the team shares in 2000. In the 10-plus years since Cuban has taken over, the team has gone from a 40 percent winning average to a 69 percent average.
Some made critical remarks.
"Time to move your team to Tulsa. Let Dallas have a real NBA club," one fan responded to Cuban on Twitter.
"If you have to deal with a physical object in your job, there's a good chance you won't have a job in a few years," another fan added.
This is not the first time that the team owner has been fined. Since taking over the team, he has been charged nearly $2 million in fines - most deriving from comments about officials.
