Marvel Investigates 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Leaks, Issues Subpoena on Google
The leak of the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" trailer was an unexpected development in the hype leading up to the premiere of the film. The leaked video was only low-resolution but Marvel responded by officially releasing the high-definition version of the trailer. Now, the company is looking to investigate the leak and find the leaker.
Marvel Studios had made its move by going to a California federal court for the issuance of a subpoena on Google. Court documents state that a person using the name John Gazelle had posted the trailer of the film on a Google Drive Account. Disney, Marvel's parent company, had issued a takedown notice to Google, requesting that the file be removed.
However, Marvel wants to identify the unknown leaker and is tracking down the user's IP address associated with the user's YouTube and Google+ accounts.

Then recently, Idris Elba who played as Heimdall in the "Thor" films has revealed during an interview that he and Tom Hiddleston would be appearing in "Age of Ultron." The detail was supposed to be kept under wraps and Joss Whedon had commented on Elba's reveal as well as the leak of the Age of Ultron trailer.
Whedon had admitted that information leaks are inevitable with projects as big as "Age of Ultron." He hasn't contacted Elba regarding the reveal of the detail, adding that he can't say the same with Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios president.
"Um, should he receive an email from me, there might be an attitude of scold … Yeah, when you have a cast of 19,000 people, inevitably, once every month, you pick up a story and you're like, 'Awww,'" says Whedon.
