'Max: The Curse Of Brotherhood' PS4 Release Date Revealed
Finally, after four years of being a Microsoft exclusive, "Max: The Curse of Brotherhood" is finally coming to the PlayStation 4. The puzzle-platformer will finally shed its console exclusivity and make its way to Sony's console next month.
The game is slated for a digital release a Nov. 8 with a physical release set for retail two days later. No prices have been released although it was originally released for $15 back in 2013. Wired Productions do price the pre-orders of the game at £16 in the UK and $21 in the US although this is only for a physical edition.
"Max: The Curse of Brotherhood" was developed by Danish studio Flashbulb Games and tells the story of a family-friendly adventure about a boy named Max. Annoyed by his little brother Felix, he goes online to find a way to get rid of his annoying brother.
However, after coming across a website called "Giggle," immediately stumbles upon a spell which promises to make his brother disappear. After reading the spell out loud a claw emerges grabbing his brother. Knowing what he has done, he goes after the claw entering the portal from which it emerged. Together with his trusty magic marker, he enters a magical and hostile world to face the evil lord Mustacho and his henchmen.
Gameplay at its core is a physics-based puzzle/platformer and set in a 2.5D environment with a free and cinematic camera. "Max: The Curse of Brotherhood" contains 20 levels divided into seven chapters all of which are connected in one long journey. Throughout the game, Max's magic marker gains powers allowing for creative ways to solve puzzles.
"Max: The Curse of Brotherhood" was first released for the Xbox One in 2013 with the Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows version released a year later. It was met with mixed to positive reviews with critics praising the game's well-balanced puzzle design, gorgeous visuals, and beautiful environments. However, the game's tricky mechanics which sometimes extended the game's playtime in unwanted ways.
