Microsoft Surface pro 5 Early Look, Release Date and Specs Rumors
There are two things that Microsoft users are so excited about in the rumored unveiling of the Surface Pro 5; one is the fact that it will be a hybrid of a laptop and a tablet, and the other is the rumor that it may be bringing with it the next generation processor that will take over the current Skylake.
Whether or not the rumor about the next-gen processor is true, the release date for the new device remains to be uncertain. Intel's next generation chip is rumored to be named Kaby Kale, which is designed to become the 14nm successor of Skylake. Its two main features are the native support for USB 3.1 and the latest graphics architecture.
Rumored Features
Well, at least the screen size of the Surface Pro 5 will be the same, but the resolution is certainly going to be upgraded to 4K pixels since that has been the request of many users. If indeed the resolution is rejigged, it means videos will be sharper compared to the previous model.
An intriguing add-on, again, if it comes out to be true, is the integration of a magnetic charging dock that is capable of charging the phone and the stylus. And yes, you've heard it right – the stylus is going to be rechargeable. We bet that's the first time we've heard of such feature.
But if there is one thing Microsoft needs to improve on this new hybrid device, it has to be the battery capacity. A more powerful battery is something the designers can never ignore because it may have been the most popular complaint from users of the Surface Pro 4. It's really confusing why they would put up a very fancy device only to limit its usage hours. The best they can do is perhaps give this new one at least seven hours of video playback.
