ABC's hit family comedy drama TV series "Modern Family" Season 7 returns this week with a brand new episode that is expected to see Jay (Ed O'Neill) finally finding a new hobby. Will this sit well with his family? Meanwhile, Claire (Julie Bowen) takes necessary steps as she prepares to take over the family's business.
According to the synopsis posted over at The Futon Critic for the episode titled "Clean for A Day," Jay will now enter into the life of a retired man. With all the time in the world already available for him to enjoy, he needs to find a new hobby and that he will.
However, it is revealed that his choice of a hobby is to fly planes. Surprisingly, his chosen new vocation won't sit well with Cam (Eric Stonestreet). Apparently, his son-in-law is quite worried that the Pritchett patriarch has a death wish, given that he thinks piloting small planes is a very risky endeavor.

Cameron may have all the reason to be afraid and be concerned. The question now is, will the elderly allow him or anyone else to dictate how he wants to spend his golden years? Will the fans see the old man flying in Cloud 9?
In another development, Claire is now preparing to take over Jay's closet business, but before she does that, one of the things she will opt to impose as the new handler of the estate is to make her whole family clean out the clutter so that their house can get a makeover.
Despite the enthusiasm, some won't be too happy to see the old things thrown into the garbage. Phil (Ty Burrell) and Luke (Nolan Gould), in particular, can't bear to see themselves participating in Claire's clean-up drive while Alex (Ariel Winter) gets too emotional when she comes across Sanjay's sweatshirt.
Meanwhile, Gloria (Sofia Vergara) will ask for Mitchell's (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) help as she tries to learn the game of golf. She wants to connect more with Jay as this is supposedly his favorite sport.
