'Modern Family' Season 7 Episode 8 Spoilers: Trouble Ensues As Family Attends A Group Therapy Session
ABC's award-winning family drama TV series "Modern Family" Season 7 finally returns this week with a brand new episode that will see the characters unearthing their "emotional junk" in a group therapy session.
According to the synopsis provided over at The Futon Critic for the episode titled "Clean Out Your Junk Drawer," Gloria Pritchett (Sophia Vergara) will win a bidding at the school auction where the prize includes a family seminar. It turns out that the event will be handled by famed doctor and wellness author Debra Radcliffe (Catherine O'Hara).
The latter happens to have written the popular self-help book called "Clean Out Your Junk Drawer." The book talks about the benefits of having people unload all their "emotional junk" in order for them to become healthier, both physically and emotionally, as well as turn them into better partners and spouses.
The idea seems a bit welcoming but unfortunately, it isn't for everyone. The summary from TFC revealed that Jay (Ed O'Neill) won't be one of those people who likes talking about what's on their mind. He will try everything to get away from the therapy session as much as he can but unfortunately, it is highly unlikely that he'll escape Gloria's plans.
Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cam (Eric Stonestreet) will take it as an opportunity to make everyone feel that their relation is "super stable." What they'll do is to keep everything at a "surface level."
Phil (Ty Burrell) and Claire (Julie Bowen), on their part, will see the session as a competition which determines who among them is the strongest couple in the group.
The summary, however, hinted that all their ideas will not go as planned and will expectedly take a turn for the worse. It is indicated that problems will arise as they try to unload and disclose their emotional burdens with each other.
As this happen, Haley (Sarah Hyland) and Alex (Ariel Winter) will be having their own kind of counseling session which happens to focus on the topic of boys.
"Modern Family" Season 7 airs Wednesday, 9 p.m. on ABC.
