Moto Droid Turbo 2 Rumors: New Flagship is Moto X Force Renamed for US Market?
Motorola has been releasing a slew of smartphones in the last few months, with the latest flagship named the Moto Droid Turbo 2, said to be the US rebrand of the Moto X Force.
With Motorola launching its Moto X Play in August and its Moto X Style later this month, the company is rumored to have plans to release a shatterproof phone called the Moto X Force, which will also sell as the Moto Bounce in some regions, and take on the name Moto Droid Turbo 2 when it is made available in the US.
The Turbo Droid 2 is essentially the Moto X Force in all but name and will be making its debut in the US by the end of the year.

Codenamed "Bounce" during its developmental stage to indicate its shatterproof glass feature, the Moto Turbo Droid 2 will be the Turbo Droid's/Moto Maxx's successor. Installed with a 5.43-inch QHD shatterproof 1440 x 2560 resolution display, it will be running on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.
The Turbo Droid 2 will carry 3GB of RAM, less than the Moto X Force's number, but will still have 32GB and 64GB options for onboard storage, as well as a 21MP rear camera and a 5MP front shooter.
What differentiates the Turbo Droid 2 from the other smartphones in Motorola's X series can be found at the rear of the device. The usual speakers on the back portion's lower area will be absent, and in its place will be what appears to be sensor button, rumored to be a fingerprint scanner.
The Turbo Droid 2 is also said to come with a total of four microphones to filter out noise, and two speaker grills located at the bottom of the phone's display.
According to speculations, it will be available on contract at Verizon when it is launched in the US in December.
