So, we've just been texting one another and looking forward to working with each other. Grace Gummer is such a really wonderful spirit. She's just fun to be around and very professional."

According to Variety, Sam Esmail stated, "This whole show has been about Elliot's emotional journey, so Season 2 is about how Elliot reconciles the fact that he's seeing this fantasy. It's going to be about Elliot really negotiating with himself since that's a tough pill to swallow. There will be a lot more backstory that will be shown."
This means that the season will soon explore the past of Elliot, the character portrayed by Rami Malek. It was said that it will shed more light on details regarding his parents and childhood.
