'Nashville' Season 4 Episode 14 Spoilers: Juliette Barnes Returns; Elton John To Guest Star As Himself
Things are definitely getting more exciting as the fourth season of ABC's hit musical drama TV series "Nashville" continues this week with a brand new episode that will see the return of one of the show's beloved characters. Meanwhile, the latest casting news indicates the coming of an iconic music figure who will be guest starring as himself.
According to the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic for Episode 14 titled "What I Cannot Change," Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) will finally return to Nashville after getting treatment for her postpartum depression which plunged her into drug abuse. Her homecoming, however, will put her at a "critical crossroads."
Another exciting development indicates that Layla (Aubrey Peeples) is now weeks away from launching her first album. To further bolster the success of the event, she will approach country-music superstar, Autumn Chase (Alicia Witt), to secure an opening slot in her tour.
As expected, Rayna James (Connie Britton) will give her full support to Layla's strategy. In fact, she is said to take up a "worthy cause" for her young talent.
Elsewhere, Will Lexington (Chris Carmack) will decide to produce his own record, while Colt Wheeler (Keean Johnson) presents the latter with a "difficult proposition."
The promo video released by the network sees Juliette facing Patrick Miller (Shane McRae) upon her arrival in town.
"Hello Patrick, are you lurking outside my house?" she asks.
"You called and said you were coming home. I just want to welcome you back," he answered as he give Juliette a bouquet of flowers.
"Look, I hired you to help spin my absence in the press. Now that I am back and everything's fine, I don't need your help anymore," she declared.
Patrick, however, presented her the news about Spielberg's new film which she is invited to join. But Juliette wasn't impressed at all and instead tells the PA that she's looking forward to returning to her "regular life."
"This is your regular life. You're Juliette Barnes!" Patrick said.
