'Nashville' Season 4 Midseason Finale Spoilers: Markus Keen Kisses Rayna; How Will Deacon React?

There's only one episode left before ABC's hit musical drama TV series "Nashville" Season 4 temporarily closes its curtains as it goes for a midseason break. However, it seems like fans will be left with some major developments that will make them anticipate the show's reported return next year.

The upcoming midseason finale titled "We've Got Nothing But Love to Prove" is bound to reveal what is really going on between Markus Keen and Rayna. Meanwhile, Luke's relationship with Colt continues to fall out.

Earlier this week, Yahoo! released a sneak peek of the episode featuring the wannabe country singer having some moments with Rayna on a rooftop while sipping some champagne. When the latter asked what they're doing upstairs, the former alternative rocker assured her that everything's going to be alright.

The two begin to open up with each other, with Markus telling his companion how she helped him become what is now. After he gave a toast, Markus suddenly jumps in and kisses Rayna on the lips.

Fans will have to watch to know what happens next between them after that kiss as preview stops at that point. Will Rayna fight off the man's advances or will she let the moment take them away together? How will this make Deacon feel when he gets wind of their rooftop encounter?

Taking hints from the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic, it seems like the first half of the season will end with Rayna and Deacon still not in good terms with each other.

In other developments, Luke is about to suffer some setbacks with the launch of his new brand. Adding more pressure to the situation is the fact that he still needs to patch things up with Colt as their relationship continues to get strained.

Find out how these things unfold when "Nashville" Season 4 airs this Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 10 p.m. on ABC.
