'Uncharted 4: A Thief's End' Release Date, Features: Game Might Run Over 30fps

Naughty Dog revealed that "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" will probably run with higher specs.

Game director Bruce Straley revealed that the developers of the game are prepared to create it above 30 frames per second but they are more concerned with the overall experience.

"We're actually above 30, but we locked it [for the demo]. We're going to do whatever it takes to make the game we want to make," Straley said.

The director added that they could go as high as 60 fps but if the total game experience will be sacrificed then they would rather stick to lower specs.

The previous "Uncharted 4" games all run with 30 fps but Naughty Dog community manager Eric Monacelli said that the developers would like to make use of the PS4's technical power therefore they are targeting the fourth installment at 60fps.

Naughty Dog's statement is not considered new in the gaming world, since a lot of studios promised higher specs. Players often complain about low quality specs when playing games on PS4 and Xbox One. The PS4 may sport higher technical powers but its ability to accommodate 60fps in all games is limited.

"Uncharted 4" fans were impressed when Naughty Dog developed "The Last of Us Remastered" to experiment on the 60fps for upcoming games. The test was a success since the game was able to run at 1080p and 60fps.

High-end graphics will be suitable for "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" storyline. The game will take place three years after Uncharted 3. At this point, Drake and Elena are already married. As the story goes, Drake's missing in action brother Sam shows up and asks for his help to find an artifact originally from Henry Avery.

The brothers embark on a treasure hunt adventure that will lead them to the fictional place Libertalia. Along the way, they will meet rival hunters named Rafe and Nadine.

Fans can watch out for "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" on the third quarter of this year.
