The new character is described as an FBI Special Agent who has experience in working with the New York City's Counter Terrorism Unit. Tess is said to be a tough, sarcastic woman in her 30s. She is very versatile regarding what kind of fieldwork she can take on. Other details revealed that she has been divorced multiple times, but with no children.

But before fans can meet the new addition to the series, the return of season 13 will continue dealing with Ellie Bishop's failing marriage. Emily Wickersham, who plays the role of Ellie, recently shared some details about how her character will deal with her recent divorce.

The previous episodes of the series revealed that her husband had been cheating on her. With that, she decided to break things off with him, which will lead her to a new chapter in her life. According to TV Guide, Wickersham stated, "Divorce throws anyone for a loop, especially in these circumstances. She has it seemingly sewed together in so many ways and is kind of a perfectionist oftentimes. This has really thrown a wrench into her whole thing. ... It'll be hard for her. We'll see a bit of unraveling."

"NCIS" season 13 is expected to return with episode 14 on CBS this Feb. 9.
