'Need for Speed 2015' News: Closed Beta Sign-ups Have Begun (VIDEO)
EA and Ghost Games have announced they are holding a closed beta for their upcoming racing video game, "Need for Speed 2015."
Ghost Games and Electronic Arts previously announced they were developing a full reboot of their "Need for Speed" franchise, titled "Need for Speed 2015" in May, and revealed more details of the game at the Los Angeles E3 2015.
Yesterday, both game developer and publisher officially announced the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One closed beta for the upcoming reboot, including game sign-up details it posted on the game's website.

The sign-up period will last up until September 25, after which lucky participants will be selected via lottery draw. Members of the gaming community will also participate in the closed beta to provide feedback on the game, as well as the expected server stress from a perpetually on-DRM.
EA has previously received backlash for its always-on DRM, but the publisher appears determined to push through with its closed beta.
The stress test for the new game will allow selected participants to take a number of vehicles for a spin, as well as serve as a promotion for the game.
It has been reported EA plans another beta test exclusively for PC, especially for players who already have an Origin account. Participants for the PC beta test can log in and opt in to the Game Tester Program.
EA does not guarantee all players who sign up for "Need for Speed 2015's" closed beta will be chosen, as these exclusive stress tests normally offer very limited access to eligible participants.
Running DICE's Frostbite 3, the game will feature remarkable graphics, with lightning effects, and deep customization, as well as a seamless live-action component thrown in with the gameplay.
"Need for Speed 2015" is expected to launch on November 3.
