'New Girl' Season 3 Spoilers: Schmidt and CeCe

Hit Fox comedy "New Girl" has a strong cast of characters who go through their share of romantic troubles. Perhaps one of the sadder plot points of the show has been Schmidt's break up with CeCe. How will he bounce back? For spoilers from Max Green Field, the actor who play Schmidt, read on.

Greenfield recently sat down for an interview with TV Guide where the actor discussed his character. He spoke about how Schmidt is handling his break up.

"He seems a little lost right now. It's almost as if you see him making attempts to reenter society or trying to find himself -- or the old version of himself -- but nothing seems to be sticking," the actor said.

Greenfield went on to tease that there is a light at the end of the tunnel for Schmidt, and he revealed what he hopes is in store for his character.

"I think it'll be very rewarding when he does get it back. You hope that he finds somebody or something that redeems him in some sort of sense," he said.

In other "New Girl" News, the show has come into a bit of legal trouble. According to two writers, Stephanie Counts and Shari Gold, the show is plagiarized from a pilot script they wrote for a show they titled "Square One." The two writers are suing the Fox network.

The lawsuit was obtained by The Hollywood Reporter explains why the two writers are suing Fox.

"Any differences between the Square One scripts and New Girl are so small and insignificant that they cannot be afforded copyright protection, and are, in fact, nothing more than transparent attempts to hide Defendants' blatant plagiarism. These differences are more akin to eraser marks or ink blots on Stephanie and Shari's creation and cannot be treated as original expression," the lawsuit said.
