New York Giants News and Rumors: Odell Beckham, Jr. Suspended One Game
The fight between Odell Beckham Jr. and Josh Norman resulted to a suspension to the former, something that everyone expected even before the NFL made it official. Beckham certainly isn't helping the New York Giants' hopes of reaching the playoffs, which at this point is already slim to none.
Although the suspension is only one game, it should be a crucial one because he'll miss the Sunday night football game against the Minnesota Vikings; a match that the Giants will have to win to keep their postseason hopes alive.
As most players do, Beckham filed an appeal to the NFL's decision. The case will be in the hands of hearing officers appointed by the player's union and the NFL. New York now hopes that the process of the appeal will be quick so that Beckham will have the opportunity to play in Week 16.

What if the appeal is rejected and the suspension upheld?
In that case, Beckham won't be allowed to be in the premises of the Giants' practice facility. Furthermore, he also won't be allowed to join any team meetings, practices, and team-related events during his suspension. The only thing that's allowed with team staff is medical treatment or rehabilitation, but it has to be off-site.
The reason why Beckham got the suspension is because it was pretty clear he was the aggressor. He even went out of his way in running just to be able to make physical contact with Norman. Perhaps the dirtiest play was when he launched himself directly into Norman's head even when action was already halted.
According to Merton Hanks, vice president of football operations for the NFL, Beckham deserved the suspension because his actions put his opponent at an unnecessary risk of getting injured, plus the fact that he could have done something to avoid it.
