NFL Rumors 2016: Percy Harvin Will Play in 2016, Several Teams Show Interest

Veteran wide receiver Percy Harvin thought about retiring after last season; and it was really hard to blame him to contemplate on hanging it up after suffering a recurring hip issue that literally kept him out of the field. But after reportedly thinking it over for the last time, he has decided he'll give it another go this season. The question is where will he play?

2016 will be a year of redemption for the 27-year old, but in spite of the decision to play on, there still is some bit of uncertainty, particularly about his health and conditioning.

Although already a six-year veteran, Harvin is actually still at an age where most NFL players are at their peak. He has a skill set in his position that no one else in the free agent market right now has. In the summer before last season, he signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills, but an otherwise excellent stint with the Bills was cut short after he was placed on injured reserve in the middle of the season. He finished it up with 30 targets wherein 19 for catches that yielded 218 yards. He produced 31 rushing yards on five attempts.

Pro Football Talk reports that he currently has a pending offer from the Bills as well as other offers from several teams. He knows that he needs to decide soon because this might be very well his last hurrah. His abilities on the field aren't questionable, but his health is. If he's going to make a positive impact and contribution in the league, he'll have to find a team that's willing to let him play.

Although he hasn't produced a 1,000-yard receiving season his entire career, it does not deny him the distinction of being an effective player. He has the talent to become one of the best at his position, and proof of that is when he was considered a strong candidate for MVP back in 2012 and when he won the offensive rookie of the year in 2009.
