NFL Trade Rumors 2016: Just Where Is Robert Griffin III Going?

It has been more than two weeks when the Washington Redskins released quarterback Robert Griffin III, but no team seems to expressed serious interest in picking him up. The free agent is still without a home considering the fact that a lot of teams right now are in short supply of a quarterback.

The Washington Post said in a report that he may finally get a contract offer after leaving positive impressions in two visits with the Cleveland Browns and the New York Jets, but both visits did not result to any verbal agreement or at least some mutual understanding.

For two of the head coaches for the teams he visited, the nicest thing about Griffin was that he didn't make any excuses. According to Browns coach Hue Jackson, he has the talent to throw a football, but knows he needs to do some work. "I think he humbled himself a little bit knowing that he has a lot of work ahead of him," Jackson said.

But because there seems to be no offer as of the moment, it is pretty clear that both teams aren't really in a hurry to make a big decision like adding a quarterback. The problem is what if another franchise comes into the picture?

An ESPN report claimed that Denver Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak admitted to seriously taking a look at Griffin. The team is without a doubt one of the most desperate to sign a quarterback after Peyton Manning's retirement and Brock Osweiler leaving. At the NFL owner's meeting, Kubiak talked about how they examined Griffin and after talking to management, he still is a potential pickup in free agency. But just like the Browns and the Jets, the Broncos aren't making any commitment, at least for now.
