Nintendo NX Release Date: to Be Focus of Nintendo's E3 Presentation?

The Nintendo NX is rumored to be the main highlight in its maker's presentation in the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) because it is touted to produce large profits for the company.

The tech firm thinks the Nintendo NX will be the next big thing in the world of gaming consoles, so it is doing everything to make sure that the device gets an ample amount of time under the spotlight. Nintendo is expected to announce the new console this spring, and it will most likely be the focus of the company's E3 presentation in June, according to N4BB.

Based on the latest reports, the Nintendo NX will be able to connect to the PS4 and almost any device. Even Nintendo's smartphone apps are expected to work with the NX, the report adds.

Information about the design of the NX is still scant, but some fans speculate that it could be a hybrid between a portable and a traditional gaming console. Details on the hardware are also being kept well under wraps, but the device is rumored to use the latest chips in the industry in a bid to outdo PS4 and Xbox One, Alphr reports.

Another rumor suggests that the NX may use game cartridges instead of digital media for game distribution. While this may sound a bit too primitive at this time, Nintendo may be trying to address the unstable Internet connection in all of its markets. Still, none of these have been confirmed yet.

As for the price, the Nintendo NX is expected to be a bit more expensive than the Wii U because of the hardware cost, but it should still be affordable. The Wii U's launch price was $357 (£250), so the NX is estimated to cost at least $428 (£300).

The Nintendo NX will be unveiled by mid-2016, and the new console is expected to be released before the year ends. The device may also be made available by November to satisfy the demand for the console during the Holiday Season.
