'No Man's Sky' News: Game Promises Exploration to the Next Level

When "No Man's Sky" was first announced, the hype and excitement were up, and with a couple of months more to wait, the buildup of interest on the upcoming game only gets more intense.

Developed by Hello Games, the company promises not only virtual gameplay in a whole new look but also exploration to the highest level that no player has ever come across.

The variations may come as a surprise to some who are used to only a number of locations to explore. However, the developing team has come up with a world-building template that gave them the power to generate different versions of mountain slopes, space crafts, dinosaur-looking creatures, plants, and other ranges that are waiting to be explored.

With the huge number of variations, it can sometimes be difficult to tell if what the player sees is a giant rock or a structure. It might even be hard to tell if the screen shows a shrub or a new creature unlike any other.

New Scientist calls the game "a virtual universe of 18 billion billion planets, each one unique, each waiting to be explored." This only means that fans are expecting a playground with almost no boundaries, almost no end, and almost no limits in terms of creation.

Some critics have commented that the game may be offering too much content, which is sometimes a bad idea in terms of exploration since not all players are in for a world with almost no end.

On the other hand, a lot of fans who always want more than flying through space and looking into different worlds expressed excitement for the upcoming game.

Forbes noted earlier in October that the game is "trying to create literally the world's biggest video game universe of all time." This means players are in for an almost boundless universe to explore and with the promise that there will always be more.

"No Man's Sky" is expected to release in June of 2016.
