'No Man's Sky' Release Date May Be Announced at Paris Games Week

"No Man's Sky" fans have long anticipated the announcement of the game's release date, but they may be headed for disappointment if they are expecting it soon.

"No Man's Sky" designer Sean Murray was earlier expected to announce the game's release date last week during his stint as guest in the "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert." Unfortunately, he still did not reveal any information as to when the game will come out, according to Christian Today.

Despite the earlier disappointment, fans have kept their hopes up, especially when news surfaced that "No Man's Sky's" release date might be announced at the Paris Games Week. Well-known game leaker Tidux said fans will finally know the game's release date during the conference on Oct. 27, Forbes reports.

"Hearing No Mans Sky is coming to #PGW with a release date and price #PS4," Forbes quotes Tidux's announcement on Twitter last Oct. 3.

In addition, Tidux said "No Man's Sky" fans will enjoy a price drop from the rumored $60 cost of the game. There are also whispers about PlayStation Plus giving subscribers a special discount. However, the details of these rumors are still under wraps and they have not yet been confirmed.

Although Murray did not yet reveal "No Man's Sky's" release date when he appeared on "The Late Show" with Stephen Colbert, he gave fans something to look forward to. The game designer shared a gameplay footage showing five new planets that players can explore. His gameplay also revealed a device that players can use to name the aliens they meet during their journey to different planets, the report details.

"No Man's Sky" was revealed during the Spike VGX award two years ago, but until now, Sony and Hello Games have not yet announced its official release date. It seems fans would have to wait some more before they can finally get their hands on the game.
