'Once Upon A Time' Season 5 News: What's In Store With The 100th Episode?
In a matter of weeks, ABC will finally resume airing its hit fairy tale drama TV series "Once Upon A Time." Fresh from its lengthy winter break, the second half of Season 5 promises a lot of surprises that will surely delight many of its fans.
Marked as the 100th episode of the series, Episode 12 titled "Souls of the Departed" is slated to feature the return of characters like Cora (Barbara Hershey), Sidney (Giancarlo Esposito), just to name a few. Over at Carter Matt, a first look at Robbie Kay as Pan is featured. The character looks like he's got more reasons to return to Storybrooke than ever before.
Enstarz.com, meanwhile, shared the synopsis of the midseason premiere. As revealed, the episode will find Emma [Jennifer Morrison], Regina [Lana Parrilla], Mary Margaret [Ginnifer Goodwin], David [Josh Dallas], Robin [Sean Maguire], Henry [Jared Gilmore] and Gold [Robert Carlyle] arriving in the Underworld.

The group's mission is to rescue Hook (Colin O'Donoghue). For those who missed it, the latter made a huge sacrifice during the first half of the season as he vanquished the Dark Ones and asked Emma to kill him with the Excalibur. His deed eventually freed them all from the darkness and restored Emma to normal.
Their arrival at the Underworld doesn't mean they are now close to rescuing their hero. The pack "discovers that their search will be more difficult than they had anticipated," ABC teased.
They will get to meet the inhabitants of the Underworld which include "all souls with unfinished business and many with quite personal vendettas--hound our heroes at every turn." The episode will also introduce Hades (played by Greg Germann), the villainous lord of the forsaken realm.
Back in the Enchanted Forest, "a familiar face from the Evil Queen's past returns to present Regina with the perfect birthday gift."
Written by Edward Kitsis & Adam Horowitz and under the direction of Ralph Hemecker, "Once Upon A Time" Season 5 Episode 12 airs this March 6 on ABC.
