Why Is the Season Delayed?

Since the anime is based on the manga, there are speculations that those working on the anime adaptation were having a hard time creating content for the series. This could be the main reason for the delay. Meanwhile, there are also speculations that it could be due to the lack of budget for the anime. However, there has yet to be any official source reporting this.

Who Will Saitama Fight This Time?

Nevertheless, that did not stop fans for creating theories on who will be up against Saitama in the next season. Some suggest that the new enemy will be named Garou, who is a student of a Clas-S hero.

Aside from that, there are reports speculating that fans will soon see the return of Lord Boros. his presence will bring challenges to Saitama, as it was revealed that he will be able to heal himself. Lord Boros himself teased his return in the finale of "One-Punch Man" season 1 when he said, "We possess the ultimate in regenerative abilities. I, in particular, have self-healing power, physical prowess and latent energy. Beyond your conception, a deep wound that would be fatal for you heal itself on me, in me in mere moments."

Despite the villains, Saitama will also face a biggest threat when a civil war is expected to take place in the season to come. Fans could see Saitama and Genos preparing for a battle against the Hero's Association as well as Hero Hunters. However, no news have confirmed the plot speculations.
