Oppo F1 India Release Date Scheduled, Specs Include 13MP Camera, 3 GB of RAM

Oppo fans have something to look forward to by the end of this month as a new device is coming their way. According to The Indian Express, the Chinese electronics manufacturer is going to release the F1 smartphone in India this coming Jan. 28.

The device was introduced at the recently concluded Consumer Electronics Show and it was revealed to come with a 5-inch HD resolution IPS and LCD display. It has a pixel density of 294 ppi and is topped with Gorilla Glass 4 (2.5D) for protection.

Aside from that, PC-Tablet detailed that the smartphone is equipped under the hood with a 1.7GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor along with Adreno 405 GPU and 3 GB of RAM. It has an internal storage of 16 GB ROM which can be expanded further up to 128 GB via microSD card slot.

The source also cited that the device's highlight is its front camera features. The Oppo F1 comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with a bright f/2.0 aperture lens and a 1/4" type sensor. The company claims that such specs enables the device to take quality selfie pictures. It even comes with a couple of live color filters to make a photo more fun and appealing. Aside from that, the F1 allows users to shoot selfies even in low light with the help of the screen backlight as a flash. Meanwhile, the rear camera is 13 megapixels and comes with LED flash and f/2.2 lens.

As for the operating system, the F1 runs with Android 5.1 Lollipop along with the Color 2.1 UI, which is Oppo's custom skin. It supports dual SIM (SIM + Nano Micro SIM) and is powered by a 2,500 mAh battery pack. According to India Today, the device is priced at around $290 or Rs. 19,377. It is actually now available for pre-order in Vietnam and may be made available in Amazon India soon.
