Orange is the New Black Filming for Season 3 Begins in New Rochelle
Orange is the New Black Season 3 will not have its premiere date until 2015, but as fans eagerly anticipate the Netflix release date there already is exciting news emerging claiming that filming has now begun and that the new season will be one not to miss.
A bar in New Rochelle called Spectators will reportedly be the location for filming some early scenes for the new season, according to LoHud. It is not entirely clear what types of scenes will be shot, but most agree that they will include more flashbacks about Piper and Alex and their relationship.
It is already reasonably clear that Laura Prepon will play a huge role in the coming season, and reports claim she will feature in every single episode for Season 3.

However, apart from that there has been scant news about the current filming developments.
Much of the reason for that is that the filming crew have done a fantastic job of completely shuttering the bar down so the public are unable to see exactly what I going on inside and which characters are being featured in the filming.
The current developments have come soon after Empire News published a report claiming that Season 3 of the show has been cancelled. That news has since been proven to be completely false and a hoax, but prior to the hoax being confirmed as a fake, fans were in uproar after the claims stated that Netflix would be deleting Seasons 1 and 2 as well as canceling the third season.
Flames were further fueled when the report mentioned that Netflix would be deleting the first two seasons permanently as well.
The fake Empire News report claimed that Reed Hastings, Netfix founder and CEO, had said he wanted more male leads on the show and that he didn't believe anyone would want to watch Orange is the New Black as it was.
The hoax quoted Hastings as saying, "A woman's place is in the home, in the kitchen, taking care of children. A woman in jail? How does anyone even watch this show in the first place? It's like we took everything bad about OZ and make [sic] this show with the leftovers."
The hoax even caused some to threaten they were canceling their Netflix subscriptions. However, others quickly pointed out that Empire News is not a real news website. The website posts made-up news and lists a disclaimer stated that it is a "satirical and entertainment website," which only uses invented names in its stories, "except in cases when public figures are being satirized."
