It is known that Lord John Grey has an important role in "Outlander" Season 3. Grey is the governor of the place where Jamie is held captive. As the story unfolds, the British soldier has a romantic interest with the Scot. It seems that fans can see a romantic scene between the two, if the show stays true to its source material.

As of this time, the production is set in Scotland where the scenes are shot for the series. Meanwhile, this time travel drama will pick up from where Season 2 left off. As Jamie is left in the past for the Battle of Culloden, Claire is in the future thinking about getting back to Jamie.

Claire is further struggling with her pregnancy and a sudden reappearance into the future. She gets back to her husband Frank and get back into their married life. Jamie on the other hand is challenged by the fact that Claire already left. They are both separated by centuries and will make it the most to find themselves back with each other.

A Totally Different Season

Season 3 also will pick on Jaime being involved in illegal activities. After knowing that Jamie married Laoghaire (Nell Hudson), Claire is deeply devastated. Aside from being devastated with Jaime's marriage, Claire is going to have suspicions with Lord John Grey's and Jamie's relationship.

Furthermore, the third season also will have an action packed scene on board a ship. This makes something looking forward to be the show's producer, Ron Moore.

It can be recalled that Seasons 1 and 2 were different from each other. The third season happens to be different altogether from the last two seasons. In fact Moore shared in a report that there is more 20th century stuff in the show. He also expressed that he is looking forward to the whole sea voyage which makes the show exciting and unique. He concluded that the show is totally different again.

Fans and followers can expect "Outlander "season 3 to air in 2017.
